This piece was inspired by an afternoon in Thailand that began like any other.
After lunch at a small neighbourhood restaurant across from my hotel, I spent the afternoon wandering through quiet streets, watching everyday life unfold. Along the way I met a group of roosters who enthusiastically announced my arrival. I answered back with a few rooster calls of my own, creating one of those wonderfully unexpected travel moments that still makes me smile.
Back in the studio, that encounter took on a life of its own.
Asok Uprising imagines those confident birds taking over Bangkok's BTS Skytrain beneath a sky filled with the warmth of early evening. The golden light softens the busy city beyond the windows, transforming an ordinary commute into a playful scene where memory and imagination travel together.
